The Sands of Normandy
The Sands of Normandy
(On anniversary's
day 6.6..2026)
A poetic and musical memorial for June 6, 2026 — the 82nd anniversary of D-Day.This track honors the young men who landed on Normandy's shores, who walked through smoke and despair, and who never rose again from the crimson tide. Not a song of victory, but a song of remembrance. Soft piano, strings, distant waves, and a lone bugle playing the Last Post.
May peace prevail upon the earth and guard us evermore!

The sun was hiding in the clouds, the sea was cold and
grey,
on Normandy’s sandy shores began the fateful day,
the ships arrived from distant lands across the stormy
deep,
while all the world was praying not for them to weep.
Young boys jumped out with courage in their heart,
they knew, in this bloody war they had to play their
part,
the metal rained from heavy guns, the bullets filled
the air,
but step by step they moved ahead through smoke,
through despair.
They fought for freedom, they fought to break the
chain,
and many fell upon the sand and never rose again,
the crimson tide washed on the beach, a heavy price to
pay,
to bring the dawn of liberty and chase the dark away.
Today we keep their memory, we honor those who died,
who stood against the tyranny with glory and with
pride,
rhe history will not forget the heroes of that shore,
may peace prevail upon the earth and guard us
evermore.
