Distance
My poem is an atmospheric,
deeply reflective musical journey that explores the haunting landscape of
memory, physical separation, and digital longing. Set against a backdrop of
vast, cold expanses—where thousands of miles of empty air separate two
souls—the composition delves into the poignant paradox of modern connection:
the presence of an image on a screen juxtaposed with the profound silence of

Three thousand miles of empty air,A silent screen, a frozen stare,The words of love she used to say,Have drifted in the mist away.A sudden wall, the world apart,A chilling shadow over the heart. He watches her ghost upon the wall,Where words once flowed, now nothing at all.She breathes and moves across the screen,While oceans stretch, so dark, unseen! This silence is heavier than Black Seals,Memory makes only bitter pills.The distance burns, the silence kills,As longing climbs the frozen hills.He's reaching out to empty light,Lost within a digital night. No brief goodbye, no reason why,Just clouds beneath an empty sky.The screen goes dark, the message is end...Where is the lover? Where is the friend? He watches her ghost… This silence is heavier… Was it real, or just a dream?Tearing at the broken seam,Wishing for the static to breakHow much more can one heart take? This silence is heavier … Hearing her voice ringing clear again,An echo becomes new fates pen,And with each word the old script bends,Rewriting where her story ends.
