The Non-Existence of Nothingness (*)
 
 
Within the deepest dark, before time could commence,
the mind persists to ask, how silence makes a sound,
If nothingness, in paradox, gave birth to existence
before the Big Bang's flame ignited the profound.
 
Yet how could total void within its bowels enclose
a motion, law, and rhythm, the seed of genesis?
In absolute zero, where oblivion's vapor grows
time does not flow, nor beats the heart of existence's bliss.
 
"But nothingness has never been!" my inner thoughts outcry,
a vast and endless sea of energy, a quantum flow
through centuries it gently boils beneath the cosmic sky
awaiting for the spark of life to wake and grow.
 
And if an Entity should come to give the final word
and look us in the eyes to tell the secret we pursue,
could our frail human mind endure the knowledge it conferred
or would a sudden, grand vertigo strike us through?
 
It`s better that the question stays a sacred dizziness,
that strives to elevate our soul above the earthly zone,
for if the "everything" was written, rigid and motionless,
what poetry could ever tame the spirits of our own?...
